CRESCENT CITY - New information on the Crescent City inmate who died after investigators say he was murdered in his cell. The victim, Neil Ramirez was due to be released in December after serving his time.

Just after 7 a.m. Monday, officials at Pelican Bay State Prison found the victim unresponsive. Prison and ambulance staff performed CPR, but he was later pronounced dead.

EUREKA - A pedestrian is transported to the hospital after a hit and run in Eureka.

Around 9 Tuesday evening, emergency personnel responded to the 700-block of Buhne Street. As the pedestrian was allegedly getting into their vehicle, they were struck by a Red Ford Astro Van which immediately fled the scene headed west on Williams.

EUREKA - Maxx Robison, the man accused of killing a 19-year-old in June of last year, has rejected a plea deal.

The District Attorney’s Office offered Robison 37 years to life.
