Redway - A Redway man riding an ATV dies after flipping his vehicle in Southern Humboldt.

The California Highway Patrol says that sometime between Saturday May 27th and Wednesday morning, 59-year old David Dresser was riding his ATV on private property about a quarter mile west of Barley Road just south of Briceland  Road.

WILLOW CREEK – The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a search in Eastern Humboldt for a missing man who left his home May 23rd.

26-year old Joseph Barriga-Crawford has been diagnosed with manic depression and bi-polar disorder. He left home last Tuesday after an argument and was last seen near the Rite Spot Trailer Park on Highway 299 east of Willow Creek.

MENDOCINO COUNTY - Mendocino County Sheriff's Office has identified 23-year-old William Eugene Weist from Boulder Creek, California as the second driver in last week's fatal car crash.

EUREKA - A repeat car thief was arrested in Eureka, and social media helped bring him down.

EUREKA - The trial for an Arcata woman accused of killing her infant daughter is delayed while the courts await results of a psychological evaluation.

Local hospitals, Mad River and Saint Joseph, have achieved trauma center designations.

Officially as of Thursday, Mad River will be designated as a level IV trauma center, and Saint Joe's as a level III - the highest in the county.

This means that the hospitals have met high level criteria of trauma patient care set by the North Coast Emergency Medical Care Agency.
