NEAR SOMES BAR - Firefighters continue to try and bring the Marble Fire in Six Rivers National Forest under control.

Around 2 pm Wednesday it ignited for unknown reasons and burned over 100 acres. By Friday it had grown to over 280 acres and private structures were still threatened. It is only 10-percent contained. Over 200-fire personnel are on scene.

EUREKA - Coast Seafoods is a major business in Humboldt County. The company is tucked away just down the street from Madaket Plaza in Eureka.  They’ve been in business for almost 65 years. They farm oysters in Humboldt Bay and prepare them for market.

Earlier this year, Coast Seafoods’ expansion was turned down by the Coastal Commission.  In August their license comes up for renewal....
