Around 10:15 Tuesday morning, multiple engines responded to the 1900 of B Street in Eureka where a trailer caught fire in a driveway.


Crews searched the residences and found a man still asleep as the trailer went up in flames only 5 feet away from his room.

MCKINLEYVILLE - The Department of Health and Human Service’s Mobile Outreach program is on the move this week.  Today they were in Mckinleyville at the Family Resource Center via their very own bus.

EUREKA - Armed suspects impersonating the Sheriff’s Department robbed two Eureka men early Sunday.

Just before 4:30 am, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 44-hundred block of Bailey Street. The victims told authorities two armed white male adults wearing ski masks and a white female in her 30’s or 40’s yelled “Sheriff’s Office!” as they entered the residence.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY  - Humboldt County unemployment rates have continued to improve according to a recent report.

Last month, the county was ranked 17 out of 58. For the month of June it moved up one spot. San Mateo County enjoyed the #1 ranking with unemployment at only 3.3-percent; Humboldt’s was 5.2.

ARIZONA- A former Humboldt State University football player faces 105 years to life in prison, if convicted in the murder of a Southern California man.
