SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT- A vegetation fire that started on Reed Mountain Road in the Red Rock area around 3:20 p.m. Friday has been contained.

The fire burned two acres and consumed an outbuilding.  

CAL FIRE air attack crews dropped retardant on the flames while Garberville and Redway crews aided on the ground.

NORTH COAST- Finding 4th of July activities is no problem this year. There are dozens of events happening across the North Coast.
