MCKINLEYVILLE - Big Lagoon Rancheria is telling the public Monday that they are not giving up after a major fire destroyed a gym they were building in McKinleyville over the weekend.

The building was under construction and was slated to open in late March or early April. So much progress had been made that the Rancheria was just interviewing a prospective manager last week.
