EUREKA - Police are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery of a Subway Thursday night.

According to the reporting party, two men entered the Subway on Myrtle just after 7 PM last night, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash.

The reporting party gave them an undisclosed amount of money, which they put in a shopping bag. They then fled the scene.

EUREKA - College of the Redwoods can now seek state funding to replace three campus buildings located in areas with high risk of seismic activity.

The college will apply for nearly $60 million dollars in seismic funds to tear down and rebuild the Physical Education and Creative Arts Buildings as well as the Field House.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY - In an effort to decrease the suicide rate in Humboldt County, a local non-profit is offering pre-emergency phone support.

The Kunle Centre’s Warm Line helps people deal with a variety of stressors before things get too hot. Anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts are just some of the needs addressed. Trained volunteers offer non-emergency help for anyone in need.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY - Nicholas Leigl was arraigned on murder charges for the third time in the death of a 14-year-old more than two years ago.

Leigl stands accused of murder in the stabbing death of Jesus Romero Garcia in December of 2014. He is also charged with accessory after the fact and special allegations of committing the crime as part of a street gang.
