FERNDALE - The community of Ferndale is in need of a health inspector.

Current health inspector Robin Smith has held the job for 30 years and is set to retire. City staff must hire a local replacement or utilize the county's inspection services. 

Both council and community members expressed a desire to keep the position local at last week's city council meeting.

BLUE LAKE-The search continues for a missing Blue Lake man who has a warrant out for his arrest.

68-year-old Roy Alan Gibbs was last seen on May 30. He allegedly sexually abused a 9-year-old girl over the course of several years. Charges include eight counts of lewd acts, providing porn to a minor, sexual assault, and terrorist threats. Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts...

EUREKA - A local woman voiced her concerns Monday about the dust coming from behind the bay shore mall, but it turns out it is not in fact a health hazard.

RIO DELL - Rio Dell City Council is set to vote on their medical marijuana land use regulations Tuesday night.

They will continue their public hearing on whether or not to allow marijuana dispensaries or laboratories in the city.
