FORTUNA- Fortuna High School’s FFA program is under fire after telling parents that their children would not be able to show animals at the Redwood Acres Fair.

ARCATA- A Humboldt State University student diagnosed with bacterial meningitis was expected to be released from a Redding Hospital Monday.

The university has not received any additional reports of the disease. Officials said one sick student did call the health center over the weekend, but did not have the disease.
