FORTUNA - Seniors and the homeless received a special Christmas dinner Friday courtesy of the River Life Foundation of Fortuna.

The California Highway Patrol began its maximum DUI enforcement period throughout California Friday.

Since 12 am, one hundred fifty drivers have been arrested state-wide including one from Crescent City. There have been four fatal accidents. Authorities say three of the four occupants of those crashes were not wearing their seat belts.
