CARLOTTA-Three felons were arrested after hundreds of marijuana plants were found in Carlotta.

HOOPA- Schools in Hoopa were temporarily on lockdown.

At 11:10 am Thursday, HCSO and CHP received a report from a Hoopa Valley Tribe School Resource Officer that a 14-year-old with a suspected weapon was on campus. The juvenile fled the campus but was later tracked down by officers. The suspected weapon turned out to be a bb gun. Hoopa Valley Tribal Court is handling the incident.

TRINIDAD – Changes are coming to HSU’s marine lab. Thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation the Trinidad-based science lab will replace water tanks that were built out of redwood in 1965.
