EUREKA - May 5th was Cinco de Mayo and Eureka High School celebrated the occasion with all sorts of activities.

Students were responsible for the entire event and gathered teams to prepare food, choreograph and perform dances, set up games and generally celebrate the annual event in a big way. It was all about celebrating Mexican heritage and diversity at the school.

A Eureka man was arrested after  a DUI crash. Just after ten Wednesday night, 25-year-old Max Magnatta was driving his Toyota Highlander northbound on Highway 101 Wednesday night near the Indianola Cuttoff. He went off the roadway with the SUV landing on the passenger side.

EUREKA - The County of Humboldt has disclosed that there was a breach Wednesday on 5-computers at the courthouse that potentially allowed access to limited confidential information.

Officials learned that individuals accessing parcel information on the 5th floor may have been able to access files typically accessible only to county staff.
