EUREKA - Eureka City Council will consider new locations for temporary sleeping areas at tomorrow’s meeting.

Now that the Blue Angel Village is located at Washington and Koster Streets, area businesses asked the city to reduce the number of nearby sleeping areas. Council will discuss adding the foot of T Street and removing one of the two remaining sites.

EUREKA - The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday to discuss possible costs, and effects of implementing Measure V in the county.

The ballot measure would create an ordinance to regulate mobile home park rent in the county.

Staff has assessed that rent has increased by $77 over the past three years, which does exceed the Consumer Price Index by about $40.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- Senator Mike McGuire is endorsing a Humboldt County ballot measure.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY-The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted man.

44-year-old Duane James Bowie Junior is wanted for parole violations, possession of ammunition, renting/leasing a space for unlawful sale or a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license. He is described as 5'9 in height, and weighs around 200 pounds.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- Flooding and slides were seen on roads all across the North Coast from the storm.

Caltrans responded Monday morning to a rock slide on Highway 299,10 miles east of Blue Lake. One-way controlled traffic is in affect until they clear it around noon. Flooding was also spotted near Zane Middle School on West Avenue.
