Eastern Humboldt- Two dead dogs were found shot dead and hanging from a tree in eastern Humboldt, west of Dinsmore.

According to Lt. Wayne Hanson of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department a Caltrans worker had reported seeing the two dogs, as well as a sign that read, "All Stray Dogs Die," on a 4'x6' wooden sign just off Highway 36.

ARCATA- A search warrant was served on an Arcata home after a lengthy investigation with multiple agencies.

Eastern Humboldt- Three hikers were found safe in near Hoopa on Salmon Summit Monday night.

The family of the hikers reported them as overdue on Monday. A search and rescue was planned for the three hikers for Tuesday morning, but they were found before by the family.

The three had been able to conserve cell phone battery and were well equipped in the woods.
