FORTUNA- The first ever Car Seat Recycling Program is coming to Humboldt County.

The idea came from students at Fortuna High School who are part of Change the World. They're asking the public to bring old or expired car seats during the event at the high school on Saturday. HC Car Seat Coalition, and AFD are also helping out.

WEITCHPEC- A Hoopa man's death may have been prevented if his employer followed the proper safety regulations. According to CAL/OSHA, the company Wright Tree Service is being cited for safety violations.

ARCATA-Around a thousand people were without power after a tree hit a power line in Arcata.

Around 1 p.m Friday, PG&E crews responded to 3400 block of L K Wood Boulevard.

They worked quickly and had power fully restored by 2:30 p.m.
