EUREKA- A Eureka man serving in the U.S. Army, 26-year-old Sgt. Christopher Mulalley, died in Afghanistan. His death is under investigation.

HOOPA- The Hoopa Valley Tribe has been notified that plaintiffs representing Central Valley water agencies and irrigators are planning to seek a temporary restraining order against the Trinity Reservoir water release.

The military is investigating the death of Army Sgt. Christopher W. Mulalley, 26, of Eureka. 

Mulalley died Aug. 22 in Gardez, Afghanistan, as the result of a non-combat related incident. The incident is under investigation. 
He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
