EUREKA - With very little fanfare, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors passed their budget for 2016–17.

The over 3 and a half million dollars will be spent according to details that were actually worked out last week. The half-cent sales tax will move forward that is expected to bring in over 4-million in expenditures and much of that will go towards improving county roads.

MCKINLEYVILLE - She’s called the Spirit of Invention and Tuesday, the Goodyear Blimp landed at the Arcata/Eureka Airport on her way to Canada.

The 192-foot airship is stationed out of Carson, California and is heading to Vancouver, British Columbia for its annual Canadian tour. The blimp will make a return trip to our airport in mid-July.
