REDWAY- On 01-12-2016, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip for one of the fugitives listed on the “Southern Humboldt’s Most Wanted Poster”. FORTUNA - The Fortuna Police Department welcomed a new officer to their force.

Dennis Stevens was sworn in Monday. A 12-year resident of the Eel Valley, Stevens was an award-winning graduate of the recently completed 116th Police Academy at College of the Redwoods. He received top shot, the chief’s award and a rotary service award.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- An Orleans woman is dead after a solo crash in North Eastern Humboldt.
