EUREKA - In honor of breast cancer awareness month a local blood bank went the extra mile Wednesday to show their support.  

The Northern California Community Blood Bank hosted pink day with the motto wear pink, be pink and eat pink, with a pink dessert pot luck. Employees gave out breast cancer information pamphlets and educated donors that majority of blood goes to cancer patients....

WILLITS- A 5-year-old boy reported missing Tuesday night has been found safe.

According to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office, Brett Paul Brown, a 5 year-old white male child, left his home on Fox Road in the Brooktrails subdivision at 4:30 PM indicating he was "going on a field trip".

SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT - A teenager is in custody after leading the California Highway Patrol on a high speed chase.

Law enforcement attempted a traffic stop near Myers Flat and Highway 101. The teen fled in a Toyota pickup onto the Avenue of the Giants-Highway 254. More officers joined the pursuit and the suspect was apprehended at gunpoint on Dyersville Loop Road.

EUREKA - A fire at an apartment building in Eureka caused thousands of dollars in damages Tuesday.
