FORTUNA - Fortuna Rodeo week continued Tuesday night with the annual Kids Games and a lot of fun was had in the Friendly City.

Families and especially kids came out and enjoyed themselves with the fireman’s muster, sack races, bounce houses and pony rides. There was even a visitor from warmer climes who attracted a lot of folks because it’s never seen much around these parts.

EUREKA - A sink hole that recently developed underneath northbound Highway 101 in Eureka will get some repairs.

EUREKA - A Eureka man is behind bars after getting caught breaking into an SUV.

Around 1:15 yesterday afternoon, 39-year old Shane Casey was arrested near 6th and G streets. Police say a manager of a nearby restaurant called authorities after witnessing Casey allegedly forcing entry into a locked sports utility vehicle.

Eureka – Measure S funded construction on Eureka City Schools is in full swing, though district officials say building behind the Redwood Curtain can be frustrating.

Approved by Eureka voters in 2014, Measure S is a $49 million bond that funds improvements to schools across the district.
