RIO DELL- The Rio Dell Police Department will increase enforcement along the river bar in response to residents concerns over pollution and noise in the area. Police will increase patrols in the area, continue the policy of locking access points at night and review the city's noise ordinance.

RIO DELL- Rio Dell police have seen an increase in property crime following two burglaries in December. According to Police Chief Graham Hill the burglaries were connected and the city has experienced an increase in vandalism.

Fortuna Police have arrested a man suspected of auto theft and assault with a deadly weapon. In the course of the investigation, they also arrest two others. Officers located 40-year old Daniel Fidler in the 600-block of 15th Street. Fidler attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. HUMBOLDT COUNTY- The Humboldt County Animal Shelter has raised $8,000 from the Holiday Open House to raise money for their Emergency Medical Fund. The shelter doubled the amount of money they raised last year.

The fund is to help treat animals who need more medical treatment than the shelter can afford. The money was raised from community members who attended the fundraiser on Saturday...

ARCATA- A man is out on bail and facing molestation charges for allegedly committing lewd and lascivious acts with a minor. John Andrew Wiesendanger was arrested by Arcata Police on Friday and released the next day on $300,000 bail.

Arcata Police said they are not releasing any information as the case is still under investigation.
