EUREKA-A serious situation got resolved quickly but not without fraying a few nerves. Eureka High School was temporarily on lockdown down Wednesday afternoon. It began when police received reports of gun shots being fired.

MCKINLEYVILLE-A man was hit by a vehicle in McKinleyville sustaining significant injuries in a suspected road rage incident.

CALIFORNIA-Grades are in to determine Humboldt County's Air quality. The American Lung Association released the report for 2016.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY - The results of a five-year long study into breast cancer survival in Humboldt County are out.

The Rural Breast Cancer Survival Study launched after another study revealed that Humboldt County deaths outnumbered other counties. The Breast and GYN Health project partnered with California Center for Rural Policy to ask the question, “Why Humboldt?”

EUREKA - Caltrans District 1 will hold a memorial in honor of the 184 employees who lost their lives on the job, including sixteen from the North Coast.
