KLAMATH – A national emergency was called today in Klamath. Over 150 tribal nations and allies are opposing the Missouri and Cannonball River’s plan of an oil pipeline that is to run outside the areas of Standing Rock in the North Dakota reserves.
People of all different backgrounds and upbringings came out in support of the peaceful rally.

EUREKA - Friday is the National Day of Service and Remembrance, and the Eureka Vet Center showed their support with a barbecue to celebrate veterans and first responders in the county.

NORTH COAST – A local veteran has won a prestigious award in a national veteran’s art competition.

Viet Nam vet and artist, Guy Clement Joy, won first place and a gold medal in the acrylics painting category in the 2016 National Veteran’s Creative Arts Festival which will be held in Jackson, Mississippi October 10 through the 16.
