McKINLEYVILLE - Pony Express Days continues in McKinleyville. The weeklong celebration is in its 48th year and today featured Farm Fest at A&L Feed.

Kids got up close to goats and chickens in the petting zoo and enjoyed pony rides while surrounded by show animals.

EUREKA- Winship Middle School was seen putting a recently received grant to good use. 

They received $1,200 from the California Fertilizer Foundation. The school established six garden beds outside, so students can get a hands on learning experience about agriculture. EUREKA- You've seen the mask in movies, but now police are looking for the guy in real life. He attempted an armed robbery in Eureka.

EUREKA- Another structure fire in Eureka caused $50,000 worth of damage. This time it was a home.

Just after 11 p.m Thursday, Humboldt Bay Fire responded to Amelia and Pine Street. Flames were seen coming from a window. The fire was under control within 10 minutes. Two bedrooms sustained heavy damage.

EUREKA- Local elementary school students got an education on the environment at College of the Redwoods.

HYDESVILLE- Two people are behind bars after a residential burglary in Hydesville.

Around 5 p.m Wednesday, HCSO responded to Hill Lane.  The victim said on his way home, he noticed a Toyota truck carrying items that looked like his own. It turned out to be his- a numerous amount of appliances were missing from his home.

EUREKA- A massive fire heavily damaged a winery and a handful of studio apartments in Eureka and fire officials are still trying to figure out how it started.
