REDWAY - A citizen’s tip to law enforcement landed a suspect in jail Monday after an alleged burglary in Southern Humboldt.

26-year old Michael Terrell Wilks of Hattiesburg, Mississippi was arrested after he was spotted near the intersection of Redwood Drive and Willow Avenue in Redway around noon.

A teacher found Wilks sleeping in a classroom at Redway School Friday morning....

SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT- A Redway woman sustained major injuries Sunday night when her vehicle overturned in Southern Humboldt.

It happened around 9:20 p.m. On Alderpoint Road, two miles east of Wallan Road. The California Highway Patrol says Geannie Foster, 26, was driving west on Alderpoint Road in a Nissan Pickup when for unknown reasons made an unsafe turn and left the roadway.
