EUREKA - Big improvements and ADA access could be coming to a Eureka park.

Over the years graffiti and vandalism at Eureka’s 20-30 park has put a damper on the experience and ultimately been a deterrent. But the city wants to revamp the park and bring it back to life.

Parks and Recreation is working on a $900,000 facilities improvement grant to make it happen.

RIO DELL- An explosive ordinance disposal team was called to Rio Dell, after a homemade device was found.

Close to 6 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a probation search on the 200-block of 2nd Avenue. They located evidence of drug sales, stolen property and a homemade explosive. The HCSO's EOD team disposed of the explosive safely.

ARCATA- A suspect sustained minor injuries while getting placed in handcuffs, because he didn't comply with officers.

HOOPA- The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man suspected of attempted murder.

29-year-old Cody Lee Myers was last seen near Joe’s Deli in Hoopa around 11:30 a.m. Monday. He is described as a Native American adult. A 50-year-old victim was transported to the hospital after being struck with an unknown slashing object. The victim is in serious condition.
