EUREKA- College of the Redwoods' President, Kathy Smith, has announced that she will retire and leave the college in June of next year.

HOOPA- Crews have been able to gain more control over the Bald Hills Fire in Hoopa over the weekend. The fire is now 85 percent contained and has burned 210 acres.
