Humboldt Bay Fire crews responded to a structure fire Thursday afternoon in Freshwater.

The fire started at around 4:15 on the 1200 block of Freshwater Road.

It took a half hour to bring under control.

Three people were injured but two were transported to the hospital for treatment.

FORTUNA- The Fortuna Police Department locating a suspect caught on camera stealing items from a Joseph Street resident's porch.

Eureka – Gun theft is on the rise in Eureka with 400 reported stolen firearms in the past five years, 91 of those stolen just this year. Thursday a special meeting with the Eureka Police Department, business owners who sell guns, and Federal Firearms License dealers, aimed to reduce gun theft in the city.

EUREKA- As the first storms arrive on the North Coast, PG&E is getting prepared.

The agency is trimming dead trees identified by new radar technology to lessen the possibility of a fallen limb cutting off power. The agency also says it has meteorologists on staff using new technology to predict where storm outages are most likely to occur.
