ORLEANS- Hours and hours later, fire crews were still spotted at the scene of a vegetation fire in Orleans.

Around 10 p.m Thursday night, Six Rivers National Forest and Cal Fire responded to a vegetation fire on the 2100 block of Camp Three Road. The 2.5 acre fire is now contained, and crews are currently mopping up. They expect the fire to be fully controlled by Friday night.

EUREKA-The Bounce-A-Palooza at Eureka's Bayshore Mall had cash stolen from them. The burglar also apparently left his fingerprints all over the place.

FIELDBROOK- The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is asking for the publics help to find a man who allegedly tried selling stolen items.

SHELTER COVE- In a suspected DUI collision, a Garberville man broke his leg after a collision involving a deer in Shelter Cove.

FORTUNA - CHP continues to search for two people Friday, in connection with the fatal hit-and-run accident last week in Fortuna. Two young girls were killed, with no arrests still made.

MCKINLEYVILLE - A new memorial is in place Friday night at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter for the former animal control officer Jim Norton.
