EUREKA -- The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a 7-percent raise.

The adjustment will come in three separate steps.

Currently, supervisors receive slightly more than $81,000 per year. Effective May 8, the salary will bump up to more than $84,000 annually.

EUREKA -- Even as officials met last week to brainstorm ideas for curbing dog attacks on area livestock, a cow had to be euthanized Monday for injuries sustained during just such an attack.

ARCATA- A male cyclist is biking 545 miles, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, all for a good cause. Monday night, a fundraiser to support his cause was held in Arcata.
