WOODLEY ISLAND- The Humboldt Bay Harbor District is looking for solutions. The agency is losing nearly $26,000 per year operating a fish cleaning facility in shelter cove.

Eureka Police are searching for a man they believe shot a woman multiple times on the 1000 block of E Street.
 
Police say just before 6pm Thursday, 26 year-old Steve Nicholas Upton of Eureka allegedly shot the woman at a Victorian home converted into apartments.
Witnesses reported hearing five gunshots.

EUREKA - College of the Redwoods has added two new sculptures to it's permanent collection. The war inspired ceramics were donated by a former visiting artist in honor of Veterans Day.

KLAMATH - The Yurok Tribe has spoken. Tribal members have elected a chairperson and vice-chairperson.

The run-off election was held Tuesday and new chairperson, James Dunlap prevailed over Thomas P. O’Rourke, Sr. By a 60% to 40% percent margin.
