ARCATA- A car caught on fire in Arcata, following mobile cannabis manufacturing.Two people were transported to an out of area hospital with significant burns.

EUREKA- Ewa Misztal, the woman accused of killing her baby, appeared in court Monday.

A motion hearing to dismiss the case took place. It was heard by Judge Joyce Hinrichs and was taken under submission.

EUREKA - Eureka City Council approved $100,000 to help the homeless and restricted possession and sales of butane.

Council approved the money to house chronically homeless seniors and disabled persons in fifteen apartments at The Lodge at Eureka.

That money is contingent on Humboldt County matching the funds and furthers the Housing First strategy adopted by both.
