ARCATA- An Arcata man is dead following a suspected DUI collision. The driver is now behind bars.

Just after 7 p.m. Sunday, APD responded to 14th and H Street in Arcata. A pedestrian, 55-year old Alan Garami, was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a vehicle.

The driver, 24-year-old Robert Bergeson of Arcata, was arrested for vehicle manslaughter and DUI.

FORTUNA- A police dog helped catch and arrest a Fortuna man.

Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Fortuna police officers responded to the 2500 block of Hannah Court to serve a felony search warrant. 40-year-old Jesse Lussow tried to flee from officials. K9 Nordy was deployed and Lussow was caught and taken into custody without incident.

EUREKA - It’s pride week in Humboldt, and today, the community came together to enjoy a sunny afternoon picnic.

ARCATA - The 31st annual I Block Party took over the strip of I Street in Arcata near Los Bagels Monday afternoon, all in the name of Arcata's sister city, Camoapoa, Nicaragua.
