DEL NORTE COUNTY - Firefighters are making more progress on the Gasquet Complex Fire in Del Norte County.

The huge complex is made up of four separate fires that have burned nearly 29,000 acres and is now 46% contained. Crews are still primarily concerned with protecting areas like private property, campgrounds and roads along with critical natural resources and endangered species....

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- Twelve people were arrested this weekend for driving under the influence as part of the Avoid the 8 DUI Task Force's end of summer crackdown.

Since August 21 to September 8, 45 people have been arrested for DUI. For the past two weeks officers with the task force have deployed saturated patrols to find DUI drivers.
