Agriculture students at the College of the Redwoods have been learning about sustainable farming through a weekly farm stand.

The stand sells fresh and organic fruits and vegetables grown on the college’s 90-acre farm. Produce is planted and harvested by Redwood students as part of a class in the AG major called "Sustainable Agriculture".

Richard Guadagno, a local man to the North Coast, died on Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania thirteen years ago. Since his death, a memorial at Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge has honored his life.

Guadagno worked for the Wildlife Refuge as a Project Manager before he died. Shortly after the attacks, the memorial garden was dedicated in his honor at the Wildlife Refuge....

ARCATA- The Humboldt County Coroner's Office has released the name of the victim. 52-year-old Kelly Maureen Nichols was the victim of the blaze.

According office Nichols was the resident of the apartment, and died in her bedroom most likely due to smoke inhalation.
