RIO DELL - The City of Rio Dell welcomed two new police officers to their staff Tuesday night.

Evie Valk and Jordan Walstrom are recent graduates of the College of the Redwoods Police Academy. Valk had prior experience working with the Fortuna Police Department.

Walstrom spent time with Emergency Services. Both were thrilled to be welcomed to the department.

ARCATA - It's tough financial times for the Arcata Chamber of Commerce. This has led to canceling it’s franchise agreement for the California Welcome Center, now, having to end employment for the chamber's executive director.
