NORTHERN HUMBOLDT - Redwood National and State Park will conduct a series of prescribed burns beginning in late September or early October in the Bald Hills area east of Orick.

EUREKA - It was day two of the Jason Arreaga trial. The man accused of killing Harley Hammers and Angel Tully, both 37 of Eureka, last year at a residence in Fieldbrook. EUREKA - Opening statements began Thursday morning in the trial for the man accused of a double homicide in Fieldbrook last September.
