Clean up crews have made their way into the Palco Marsh to remove abandoned tents, belongings and garbage. Eureka Police are thoroughly checking each tent for people and animals before bulldozers take them down.

Twenty individuals moved into the temporary housing facility at West 3rd and Commercial Streets in Eureka over the weekend. More are expected to move in on Monday.

Palco Marsh cleanups are in full swing. EPD and Eureka Parks and Recreation are going through each tent. A basket full of used hypodermic needles was found. The Sheriff's SWAP Team is breaking tents down. Majority of homeless have left the area near the North 40 parking lot.

A fire broke out Monday morning at the Palco March homeless camp,  The homeless are being evicted from the area and one female was arrested for not leaving the area. We'll continue to have live updates this morning on News Channel 3.
