Arcata Police say at around 6:30 Sunday night, a 52-year-old man was stabbed multiple times at the Courtyard Circle Apartments in Arcata.
 
The victim was transported to Mad River Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
Investigators would not say the weapon used but are working some leads in the case.

According to Eureka Police Chief Andrew Mills, at around 10 Saturday night, officers responded to a shots fired call near F and Watson Street.
 
One man was located in the roadway with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 
Another man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound and is expected to survive.
