A Humboldt County Sheriff's deputy sustained minor injuries after her vehicle rolled over on Highway 299.


It happened around 5 Thursday afternoon, as the deputy was responding to a call in Hoopa.


She was traveling eastbound near Willow Creek in an SUV when for unknown reasons lost control and struck a dirt embankment causing the vehicle to land upside down....

HARBOR, OREGON - An update to the massive sinkholes in Harbor, Oregon. Two of the four lanes of Highway 101 were opened Thursday night for the first time in weeks.

TACOMA, WASHINGTON - The Skylar Nemetz murder trial was postponed and will not resume for a week. Nemetz is accused of murdering his wife Danielle back in 2014. Both went to local Humboldt County High Schools. The presiding judge in the Tacoma, Washington trial had to leave town.

ARCATA - Humboldt’s vision for a safe non-motorized commuter trail from Arcata to Eureka along Humboldt Bay is now moving into phase two.

EUREKA - The crab industry has been hit hard financially due to a delayed season caused by high levels of domoic acid found in Dungeness and rock crab.
