ARCATA - Students at Pacific Union School in Arcata have been extra kind this month. That’s because they’ve taken the Great Kindness Challenge.

Students committed to performing twenty-five acts of kindness in January.

EUREKA - Eureka Police continue to investigate the death of 80-year-old Maria Bosnar who was killed last Monday when she was struck by a truck near Henderson Center.

EPD will forward the case to the District Attorney’s Office for possible criminal prosecution when the investigation is complete.

CRESCENT CITY- A Crescent City inmate died and investigators say it's a homicide.  

Just after 7 a.m. Monday, officials at Pelican Bay State Prison found 29 year old Neil Ramirez unresponsive. Prison and ambulance staff performed CPR, but he was later pronounced dead. Ramirez was serving an 8 year sentence for kidnapping.
