NORTH COAST - Cal Fire personnel are fighting two wildland fires that got started late Tuesday afternoon.

OREGON- An Oregon man was accidentally killed when a tree fell on him near Blue Lake.

Around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, Cal Fire, and Cal/OSHA responded near Timber Ridge Lane. 31-year-old Travis John Cornelison, a tree faller, was in an active logging operation. Cornelison died after he was hit by the tree, which fell in an unexpected direction.
