EUREKA - The annual fireworks extravaganza in Old Town, will have to be cut down this year. Funding came up a bit short. Coordinator Mike Jones said money raised was $5,000 in the red.

In the past, those celebrating 4th of July crowded in at the foot of "F" street on the boardwalk to view the proceedings. Last year there was music specially purchased and coordinated with the fireworks....

EUREKA- An arrest was made after a stolen vehicle was located in Eureka.

Around 1 p.m Wednesday, EPD was following a Subaru Legacy on Central Avenue and Harris Street. The vehicle turned out to be stolen. The suspect who was driving it was arrested. His name has not been released.
