KLAMATH- The Tully Fire burning in Northeastern Humboldt has stabilized a bit after several days of rapid growth. However, Wednesday, the Yurok Tribe declared a state of emergency.

Authorities say it was started by arson although no suspects have been found. Cal Fire’s Command Team 3 will now coordinate operations. So far the big blaze has burned 440-acres and is 8 percent contained....

CALIFORNIA- Governor Jerry Brown has appointed McKinleyville woman Beth Chaton to the Advisory Committee on Before and After Programs. Although, the position has no compensation and won't require Senate confirmation.

EUREKA - Volunteers and employees of St. Joseph Health donate backpacks and school supply to kids in need.
