DEL NORTE COUNTY- The search continues for a juvenile who escaped from a Del Norte County detention facility.

Law enforcement says Tuesday morning a 17-year-old incarcerated at the Bar-O-Boys Ranch escaped the facility. He was sighted a short time later and pursued along Little Jones Creek Road. He was able to evade search and rescue and CHP officers two separate times but is still...

WESTHAVEN-Law enforcement is searching for 4 suspects after a home-invasion armed robbery in Westhaven.

Around 3:40 am Monday, Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 12-hundred block of north Westhaven Drive. A 47-year old man was watching TV. The armed suspects stole an undisclosed amount of marijuana, and the victims Toyota Tundra.

ARCATA- The new replacement for Fire Chief Desmond Cowan, who is retiring, is starting a little earlier than expected. 

Assistant Chief Justin McDonald will act as the Interim Chief starting May 29, when Chief Cowan is beginning his time off. "I want to give him a good opportunity to get his feet under him before I leave," said Cowan.
