EUREKA – 4-year-old Allison was abducted on Sunday, by father Anthony Lux. Grandmother, with a court date coming up, holds temporary custody, expressed concern and reached out the Humboldt County’s Sheriff’s Office in fear and apprehension.
Undersheriff Honsal says that the grandmother was concerned about the well-fare of her granddaughter.

ARCATA - HSU students may be doing their laundry a little more cautiously now after a fire ignited in a dryer in a laundry room at Jolly Giant Commons just before noon Wednesday.

According to Arcata Fire the maintenance staff was able to put out the blaze for the most part before fire fighters arrived.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- It's a happy ending for a Blue Lake woman who was trapped in a trailer for days in the snow, 30 miles out on SR 1.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY- Almost 2-million dollars will be used for improving roads and transportation needs locally. The money is coming from the over 12-million dollar Measure Z budget. 

The 2017 budget was recently released. Money comes from the half cent sales tax concerned citizens voted on to improve public safety.

EUREKA - Eureka's Henderson Center may get a makeover.

Eureka's Development Services Department says the neighborhood is on the rise and boasting an increased interest in new development and fewer vacant storefronts.

NORTH COAST- A plastic bag ban in the state of California was passed earlier this month as part of Proposition 67.
