MENDOCINO COUNTY- A Garberville man is one of multiple suspects wanted following a robbery and homicide in Mendocino County.

In November, Mendocino Sheriff's Deputies responded to a homicide in Laytonville. A commercial marijuana grower was fatally assaulted while his employees robbed him for 100 pounds of cannabis. Seven suspects were identified and two were arrested.

HUMBOLDT COUNTY - The Humboldt Harbor District will convene a special meeting Thursday to consider the expansion of Coast Seafood’s oyster operations.

Local shelters are running into problems this week - they're running out of room.The Humboldt county animal shelter currently has 56 dogs, but only 52 kennels, and while Miranda's Rescue usually only takes in 40 dogs, they currently have 60.

EUREKA - Rain and wind continue to batter the North Coast on Wednesday night, leaving approximately 2700 PG&E customers in the Humboldt Division without power, and PG&E says less than half of those are in Humboldt County.

ARCATA - As students return to Humboldt State University, the campus community is mourning the loss of 19-year-old student Jenna Santos.

Santos was returning from a trip to Humboldt with a friend on the night of January 11th when her car veered off of Highway 101 and into Outlet Creek in Mendocino County.

EUREKA - Zane Middle School was the site of a power outage this year. Rather than sending students home, administrators chose to keep the doors open even though the lights were off.

EUREKA - It was a tense back and forth at last night’s meeting. Eureka City Council ultimately voted four to one to support a resolution affirming human rights.
