EUREKA- A two-vehicle injury crash shut down Highway 101 near Eureka.

Just after three Monday afternoon, emergency crews responded to the northbound entrance to Harper Ford and Mid-City Motor World.

EUREKA/ARCATA SAFETY CORRIDOR - Highway 101 near Harper Motors is closed down currently due to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries. So far the details are still a little sparse. CRESCENT CITY - Swinging punches at police – the man wanted for battery of an officer is identified.

27-year-old Brent Daniel Morrison is suspected of assaulting a Crescent City officer early Monday.

A wanted felon is in custody after leading authorities on a high-speed chase. 

Around 4 Saturday afternoon, a Humboldt County Sheriffs deputy was traveling southbound on Highway 101 near the vista point in McKinleyville. It was there where he noticed a blue Ford Focus occupied by Conte Watson who had a felony warrant for his arrest.

RUTH- The Ruth Complex has burned over 3,200 acres and is 10 percent contained.

The complex is made up of four fires located south of Ruth Lake. They continue to fight the fires both on the ground and in the air.

On Sunday, fire fighters were focused on constructing and strengthening containment lines around the fires.
