NORTH COAST- The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in Alderpoint, the man in his fifties succumbed to his injuries after being reportedly shot in the chest. And three fires are now under control in Weitchpec after multiple agencies fought the blazes. Plus, a parade floated through Main Street Fortuna today as watchers lined the street to watch all the action.

Humboldt County Sheriff's deputy's responded to a shooting Friday night in Alderpoint.
 
The male victim was reportedly shot in the chest just before 11 p.m. 
 
He was transported by helicopter to the hospital for treatment.
 
His condition is unknown. 
 
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Department.

EUREKA- A man is recovering from being stabbed in the abdomen outside of Winco Foods early Friday morning.

According to Eureka Police Public Information Officer, Brittany Kesterson the man was found outside the store's exit with and abdominal stab wound, he was taken via ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital.
