FORTUNA  - An ongoing investigation for heroin trafficking in Humboldt County led to two arrests in Fortuna.

40-year old Gilberto Giron-Ramirez and 43-year old Pedro Sierra-Pozos were taken into custody Tuesday for numerous drug possession, sales and conspiracy offenses. Officers found 1.1 pounds of heroin, 2.7 grams of methamphetamine and $1600 dollars in cash.

DEL NORTE COUNTY - The Gasquet Complex Fire continues in Del Norte County and one community is without water due to damage from the fire.

The Rock Creek Community is having water provided to them after the blaze damaged their water system. Several hundred feet of pipe was broken after trees and rocks came down in this remote area. Around 70 residents are affected.

ORLEANS - A driver was taken to an out of area hospital after a single vehicle accident in Eastern Humboldt.

Around 10:45 Wednesday morning, witnesses say a man drove a white pickup truck off Red Cap Road near Orleans and overturned on to the Klamath River Bar. The victim was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.

CRESCENT CITY - A Del Norte County woman sustained moderate to major injuries after a single vehicle rollover accident in Crescent City.

Tuesday, just before 10 pm, 24-year old Shayna Morrison was traveling westbound on Kings Valley Road when she failed to negotiate a curving roadway, crashed into an embankment and was ejected from the vehicle.
