EUREKA - Eureka's trail system is expanding. Work has begun on the final two phases of the Waterfront Trail.

EUREKA - Eureka City Council will take an extensive look at parking at a special joint meeting with the Transportation Safety Commission.

The city’s Development Services Department has been taking surveys and evaluating parking needs across the city and especially in Old Town and Downtown.

EUREKA - The McKinleyville Municipal Advisory Committee will now recommend the county wide smoking policy to the Board of Supervisors after continuing their discussion on the matter last week.

GARBERVILLE - Lost - and then found. One man is thanking the Sheriff's Office Monday after they helped find his stolen belongings in Garberville Sunday, and locate other stolen property.

EUREKA - News Channel Three brought you the Salvation Army 'Kettle Queen' competitions over the holidays this year, and this weekend the lucky winner got her crown.

Her name is Rylee Tunzi, and she raised $180 in two hours of ringing at Pierson's Building Center.

Today the Rotary Club of Eureka took a step towards aiding and reducing homelessness in Humboldt County.

At their regular meeting this afternoon, they surprised Betty Chinn of the Betty Chinn homeless foundation with a donation of 10,000 dollars towards her mission.

Betty has been actively working with the homeless for 32 years.

FORTUNA - Everyone can do their part in giving back to their community, and the children of Ambrosini Middle School proved so this morning by holding a giving assembly for the local animal shelter, Miranda's Rescue.
