A Hoopa man sought in connection with a stabbing last week in Eastern Humboldt has been arrested.

 

Authorities responded to a stabbing last Thursday at Marshall lane at Big Hill in Hoopa and found a victim with a large laceration. The suspect, 19-year-old Charles McCovey, fled the scene, according to law enforcement.

EUREKA-A garage fire early Tuesday morning caused $10,000 in damage to a Eureka home.  

 

Humboldt Bay Fire responded just after 4 on the 500 block of West Buhne Street. It took crews ten minutes to bring the fire under control.
