EUREKA - Eureka Police are releasing the name of the man who was injured in the officer involved shooting in Eureka Tuesday night.

He is 26-year-old Clayton Lee Lasinski from the Garberville area.

According to EPD, he is expected to survive the single gun shot wound he sustained to his upper chest and shoulder. Lasinski underwent surgery last night at St. Joseph Hospital.

EUREKA – Dispatchers released a call over the scanner requesting backup around 4:30, Tuesday evening.
