EUREKA'S TARGET WRAPPED IN A LAWSUIT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Target store in Eureka is one of 200 wrapped in a lawsuit with the State of California. The lawsuit was filed in 2009. It claims Target improperly disposed defective, damaged, and leaking chemical products into giant trash compactors. The District Attorney's office says a judge has issued a preliminary injunction ordering Target Corporation to stop dumping. The case will head to trial where prosecutors will try to get a permanent injunction and civil penalties. District Attorney, Paul Gallegos says these are only allegations. We are waiting to hear back from Target for a statement.
