Late Thursday afternoon, News Channel 3 received word of a meth bust in Eureka where at least 6 guns were seized from a home on Cousin Street. Also, the former Arcata pastor who is facing child molestation charges is back in jail. The District Attorney's office says Dino Cardelli was taken back into custody after his court appearance Wednesday afternoon for violating conditions of his bond. The D.A.'s office adds that Cardelli has had ongoing contact with at least one of his victims. Authorities say Cardelli created a Facebook account under a fake name and messaged one of his victims. The D.A.'s office expects to file new charges in this case in the near future. In Arcata Wednesday morning, a scary situation for one man. Police say a homeowner woke up to a stranger standing over him holding a knife. Police have identified that stranger as 23-year-old Jimmy Garcia of Arcata. Police officials say Garcia stabbed the homeowner several times. Investigators have arrested Garcia on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The victim of the stabbing was rushed to Mad River Hospital where he was treated, released and expected to fully recover. Plus, a body was found near the foot of Truesdale Street near the Bayshore Mall in Eureka around 8 a.m. Police have been on the scene trying to piece together the evidence. The coroner has not released a name or cause.
