TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED FOR COASTAL CALIFORNIA INCLDUING MENDOCINO, HUMBOLDT, AND DEL NORTE COUNTIES.
BREAKING NEWS: A Tsunami Warning has been issued for the West Coast including Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. All Humboldt County Residents living in Low Lying areas are being told to evacuate by the Sheriffs Office. Crescent City residents are being evacuated up to 9th Street. The NWS says the first wave could come at 7:24 AM and the warning is in effect for 12 hours. If you live in a low lying area of Manila, Fair Haven, King Salmon, or Fields Landing, the NWS advises residents to monitor the situation closely and possibly consider evacuating. UPDATE: Classes have been cancelled at the following schools: all Del Norte County and Eureka City Schools, Arcata Elementary and Sunny Brae.
