This is video of "Carlos" -- a couple of kids nearby named the baby seal. He was there for about 3 hours. Maryann Swan lives across the street from where the seal was found. After she says she tried calling several agencies for help, she decided to call News Channel 3. We then called Humboldt County District Attorney, Paul Gallegos to see if he could help in any way. Gallegos came out and called Fish & Game officials who said they couldn't touch the seal because there was no obvious sign of injury. We got in touch with the Marine Mammal Center who says it's normal for baby seal's mothers to leave their babies on shore for up to 18 hours.
