Jim Sylvia Honored

Jim Sylvia passed away in December but his memory will live on forever... Sylvia is one of the newest members of the California Wrestling Hall of Fame... He's best known for starting the College of the Redwoods Wrestling program and was named Golden Valley Conference Coach of the Year four times... His teams also won four state championships... Sylvia also coached football and cross-country... No matter what spot, you were likely to see Sylvia cheering on both the Corsairs and Crusaders... His granddaughter Jamie Gillespie plays softball at St. Bernard's... The entire team is wearning patches in his honor...News Channel 3 talked to Gillespie at a recent softball game...
