BREAKING NEWS: Sophia Parker Autopsy Results Released

On May 24, 2011 at 9:00 am the autopsy on 2 year old Sophia Pedreros Parker was conducted at the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. The preliminary cause of death is drowning. The final official cause of death will be completed once toxicology reports are received which usually takes a couple of weeks. There is no indication at this point that the toxicology reports will show any further or different cause of death.
On Friday afternoon Sophia was reported missing to authorities, she was believed to be with her mother Claudia Pedreros.
Sophia was found dead in the Trinity River on Saturday afternoon about 7 hours after her mother was found walking naked down Highway 3.    Pedreros later admitted to authorities she had drown the toddler and let her body float down the river. 
Claudia Pedreros was due to be arraigned in a Trinity County courthouse on Tuesday but the District Attorneys office says that date has been pushed back until June 1st.
