DUI's Up over Memorial Day Weekend for HUmboldt County

Humboldt area California Highway Patrol arrested 17 DUI offenders over the holiday weekend.  The North Coast had the most driving under the influence arrests throughout the CHP divisions in the North State.  Local CHP say they believe their arrest rates were the highest because they had more patrols out over the holiday and were looking for drunk drivers.
Other agencies had quite a few DUI arrests of their own including Fortuna Police who are reporting 2 and Eureka Police who have logged 8 driving under the influence arrests.
