Several Trinity County Fires Contained

Fire investigators are trying to determine what started three fires in Trinity County Monday afternoon. Two of the fires were in Canyon Creek, the other one burned near Weaverville. Cal-Fire says there were no mandatory evacuations issued. The largest one was 30 acres and firefighters had it contained by 10 p.m. Monday night. Canyon Creek Road reportedly closed for emergency vehicle access. Trinity County Sheriff's Office says around the same time the fires started, 3 workers from a contracted power company were rushed to the hospital - one of them airlifted and the other two transported by ambulance - after a power line started to arc. It's still unclear if all of the events are related.
