Single Car Accident Closed SB Hwy. 101 N. of Eureka

A single car accident shut down Highway 101 for about 30 minutes Tuesday night. The roll over collision happened northbound 101 just north of Eureka near Mid City Motors just before 10 p.m. The CHP says Robin Anderson of McKinleyville was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her car and flipped it several times, into the opposite lane of traffic. The solo occupant was pinned in and had to be extricated by the Eureka Fire Dept. She was rushed to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
