Arrest made in Willow Creek Kidnapping and Robbery

An arrest has been made in the kidnapping and robbery case out of Willow Creek. C.H.P. Officers stopped to check on a disabled car around 6 p.m. Wednesday night on Highway 299 near Salyer when they realized 29 year old Charles Kelly matched the suspect description. Humboldt County Sheriff Investigators came out to the scene and interviewed the Willow Creek resident. Kelly was booked into Trinity County Jail. Kelly's passenger was interviewed and released after officers determined he was not a suspect.
