Internet and Phone Service Restored in Humboldt County

Internet and phone service has been restored in Humboldt County after a fire damaged AT&T's fiber optic line knocking out service for several hours.  A small fire north of Ukiah burned a section of the fiber line around 3pm Friday afternoon causing a fiber outage throughout Humboldt County affecting customers of Suddenlink, Verizon and AT&T.  The outage caused widespread internet and phone problems throughout Humboldt County and resulted in the loss of internet and phone until early this morning when the line was repaired and service restored.
