Stabbing at Arcata Plaza

Police are investigating a stabbing that took place at the Arcata Plaza. Kurt Sheerin is in custody accused of assault with a deadly weapon after an early morning stabbing incident. Police were called out to the plaza around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday regarding a fight. The victims gave officers the suspect's vehicle description after they saw him get in the passenger side of a car that took off. Officers caught up with the 28-year-old from Massachusetts and booked him into jail. One victim received a cut to his arm and the other had a cut to his hand. Both victims declined medical treatment.
