BREAKING: Fatal Accident in Myrtletown
One man is dead after a car accident in Myrtletown. The crash happened around 2 am at the intersection of Myrtle Ave and 17th. Officers with the California Highway Patrol say an older model white Toyota SUV and a dark Honda 4-door sedan collided, the driver of the SUV was detained and given field sobriety tests. Two of three occupants in the sedan were taken to the hospital for moderate injuries. The identity of the deceased is currently unknown. It is unknown at this time if the deceased was a passenger or pedestrian, as investigating authorities found a walking cane in the road that they say appeared to be in an "odd" position.
