Sheriff's Citizens on Patrol or S.C.O.P has been providing the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office with volunteer services since 1996. They have been known as the "Eyes and Ears" of the office and they're looking for more people to look and listen for S.C.O.P.

They perform a variety of functions, including traffic control, patrol in a S.C.O.P vehicle, boating and marine patrol, vacation house checks, filing, assisting at the Humboldt County Sheriff's Animal Shelter, special events and disaster assistance.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Captain Bernie Jorgensen at 268-2536.
